Each training is customized after a careful assessment of current knowledge and skills as well as desired outcomes of the client.
The personal and professional development of employees is critical to the vitality and success of the individual and the organization. Professional development has two elements, knowledge and skills. While it is difficult to separate the two, "training" is the term most often applied to skill development while recognizing that this training also builds knowledge. Knowledge-building, alone, is more often associated with seminars, lectures, or coursework in which there is a less active role in practice, feedback, and coaching. An example of training is skill development in practicing effective consulting skills, negotiation, or conflict management. An example of knowledge-building is listening to, and perhaps discussing, information about a topic such as change management, organizational culture, or a subject related to the products or services of the organization.
